Many staff and students of the University of Macau (UM) commute to campus by bus on a daily basis. If the bus stops have a more comfortable design, it will surely make everyone’s travels more pleasant. The renovation of the bus stops on campus is part of UM’s effort to create a better living, learning, and working environment for students, faculty, and staff. The renovation will significantly improve the appearance and function of the bus stops in order to provide more convenience for commuters.

The new bus stops will be equipped with backrests, windshields, fog cooling systems, and lighting equipment.

After the renovation is complete, the length of the bus stops will stretch from eight metres to 12 metres, with floor area increasing from 16 square metres to 32 square metres. The seating area will also increase. The new bus stops will also include backrests, windshields, fog cooling systems, and lighting equipment. Now prospective passengers can comfortably wait for the bus whether it rains or shines.

A total of five bus stops on the UM campus will be renovated by the end of this year. They include the three stops near the Postgraduate House, one on University Avenue, and one in front of the Administration Building.
