A Symbol of Life after Destruction

Many plants on the campus sustained varying degrees of damage during the typhoon. Amazingly, some rain lilies in the courtyard of Choi Kai Yau College are in bloom. Acting College Master Ho King Yan uploaded a picture of the flowers to social media, eliciting enthusiastic responses from the students. Some say the beautiful flowers are a symbol of life and hope after the devastation caused by the typhoon.

Rain lilies normally blossom in summer, before or after the rain, hence the name.

Disaster recovery is still in progress, and life on campus is gradually returning to normal. We believe the campus will soon regain its original beauty.
